India Gupta is a communications professional with a diverse set of skills and international experiences.
With a natural affinity for writing, India began her professional career as a Communications Intern with Ford Foundation, a private global human welfare philanthropy headquartered in New York City. Her experience reporting on the foundation’s work inspired her to take on larger research-based projects abroad during her two semesters of study in Shanghai, China and Taichung, Taiwan.
Her education from Davidson College (U.S. News Top 10 National Liberal Arts Colleges 2018) provided broad academic grounding in Communication Studies, Political Science, and Anthropology. As a student, she explored various international human rights and foreign policy issues, both in the U.S. and abroad. India served as a staff writer and later became Editor-in-Chief of the campus’ online global affairs publication. Her Mandarin language skills enabled her to conduct in-depth field research for multiple projects, the most notable being her senior honors thesis investigating the political implications of social media use in Taiwan.
Currently, India is a bilingual English/Mandarin Relationship Manager at Bank of America and is based in Princeton, NJ. She is also passionate about the arts and a local performing musician
